Campus International High School Celebrates College Decision Day
A dozen graduating seniors will become part of Living Learning Community, attend 老澳门六合彩官方开奖 starting in Fall 2022
The energy was equal parts pep rally and family breakfast picnic on Monday morning, as the (CIHS) of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) celebrated the Class of 2022 for 鈥淐ollege Decision Day鈥 on Monday, May 2. Graduating seniors enjoyed a morning meal with CIHS faculty and staff before announcing plans for their future at their Cole Center nexus on the 老澳门六合彩官方开奖 campus.
鈥淭his day will never come again. And once it is gone, it is over. So, start using today with that mindset. Everyone's journey is different. You cannot be anyone else,鈥 said Clarissa Russell, manager of regional admissions for Eastern Michigan University, a guest speaker at the event.
鈥淪ome of us have a straight line to where we want to go in our life, and some of us zigzag to where we are going in our travels,鈥 Russell added. 鈥淲hatever the path holds, be open to your journey because it is yours. Every day is a new opportunity to create and build and grow.鈥
CIHS is the continuation of the highly successful , established in 2017. CIHS became a full grate 9-12 high school during the 2020-21 school year, completing the collaborative vision of CMSD and 老澳门六合彩官方开奖 to have a true K-16 program on-site.
CIHS is a fully authorized for the Middle Years and Diploma Programmes, offering only the IB Diploma Programme for students in grades 11 and 12. Through the IB and CIHS partnership with 老澳门六合彩官方开奖, students have opportunity to earn college credits.
So far, 12 of the 55 graduating seniors in the CIHS Class of 2022 will be attending 老澳门六合彩官方开奖 in the upcoming Fall 2022 semester鈥攎any of them as a part of 老澳门六合彩官方开奖鈥檚 Living Learning Community, which assists students with how to successfully navigate their way to (and through) higher education, as well as facilitate intentional and in-depth communication and understanding among students of diverse backgrounds and identities.
鈥淲hat鈥檚 most important for me is that you know that we are all here for you, supporting you,鈥 said Sarah Schneider, IB diploma program coordinator for CIHS. 鈥淩emember that whenever you鈥檙e faced with any sort of stress, look around this room, and at the people around you in this building. We are all here to make sure that you鈥檙e successful.鈥
