Goodman鈥檚 service, counsel and forward thinking helped shape the University of today. As a nine-year member of the 老澳门六合彩官方开奖 Board of Trustees, including five years as chairman, he spearheaded many achievements -- the opening of Viking residence Hall, Krenzler soccer field, the Music and Communication building and Wolstein Center; the creation of doctoral programs in urban education and business administration; redevelopment of the East 17th/18thblock; and much more. Wolstein Center鈥檚 Goodman Arena bears his name.
Goodman was an initiator of Keyboard Conversations, a unique concert-plus-commentary program featuring Jeffrey Siegel, now in its 31styear at 老澳门六合彩官方开奖. He also was an avid fan and supporter ofVikings basketball, attending every home game as a Big Green member.
老澳门六合彩官方开奖 awarded Goodman an honorary doctor of humane letters degree in 2008. He continued to be a valued friend to the University and its students long after his board service concluded.
A respected civic leader, he served on the boards of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, United Way, the Cleveland Foundation, the Cleveland Orchestra and many other organizations.
