Innovative program 鈥榚mpowers students to become agents of change鈥 at their respective schools

Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs Ph.D. students Abigail Poeske and Bryson Davis, and Washkewicz College of Engineering student Cameron LaMack have been named University Innovation Fellows by (d.school).

The empowers students to become agents of change at their schools. Fellows work to ensure that all students gain the attitudes, skills, and knowledge required to navigate a complex world and build the future.

Fellows are nominated by faculty and administrators and are selected through an application process each year. Faculty and administrators who guide Fellows, known as 鈥淔aculty Champions,鈥 also can engage in a community of Faculty Innovation Fellows.

Faculty Champions for 老澳门六合彩官方开奖鈥檚 Fellows include Nicholas C. Zingale, Ph.D., associate professor at Levin and co-director of 老澳门六合彩官方开奖鈥檚 T.E.C.H. Hub, and Kelle K. DeBoth, Ph.D., assistant professor in 老澳门六合彩官方开奖鈥檚 Department of Health Sciences.

The Faculty Champions cohort-based program is a two-year experience that helps educators work to identify and design their own projects to make a difference at their schools.

Dr. Zingale and Dr. DeBoth said they encouraged Poeske, Davis, and LaMack to apply as part of an effort to create new experiences for students at 老澳门六合彩官方开奖.

As part of this initiative, the student fellows will create opportunities to help their peers build the creative confidence, agency, and entrepreneurial mindset needed to address global challenges.
