老澳门六合彩官方开奖 School of Film & Media Arts is partnering with the Cleveland International Film Festival to host Jamie Babbit for a discussion of her successful film career Saturday, April 6. 

Babbit has directed several features, including But I鈥檓 a Cheerleader (1999), Addicted to Fresno (2015), and The Quiet (2005). Her television directing credits include multiple award-winning shows such as Girls (HBO), Looking (HBO) and Silicon Valley (HBO), for which she earned a best directing Emmy nomination. Most recently, she has directed several episodes of Russian Doll for Netflix and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for Amazon, and is currently in production on The Stand-In, a feature film starring Drew Barrymore. The discussion of her laudable career will be moderated by assistant professor of practice, Maria Gigante. 

The talk, which is free and open to the public, begins at 2:30 p.m. in the School of Film & Media Arts Common Area. Seating is first come, first served. 

Babbit grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio and graduated from Columbia University, where she was a Centennial Scholar in foreign studies. Along with earning many awards for her work, Babbit has also been profiled in The New York Times, Out Magazine, Time Out, the LA Times, Filmmaker Magazine, and The Huffington Post, and was listed by Variety as a "director to watch."
