Student Success Stories: Meet Tayluer Streat-Ricchiuti, biomedical engineering phenom
To say that Tayluer Streat-Ricchiuti has a thing for robotics and a drive to make a difference in people鈥檚 lives is something of an understatement.
As a part of her high school robotics team, she was encouraged to pursue an engineering career. She received her bachelor鈥檚 degree in mechanical engineering with a concentration in biomedical systems from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
This past spring, Tayluer (pictured here with 老澳门六合彩官方开奖 President Laura Bloomberg, Ph.D.) graduated with her master鈥檚 in biomedical engineering from 老澳门六合彩官方开奖. She's now pursuing a biomedical engineering Ph.D. at 老澳门六合彩官方开奖.
Throughout her educational journey at 老澳门六合彩官方开奖, Tayluer has competed in the NEOvations bench to bedside with her team claiming second place for their low-cost solution for treating Hyperbilirium in developing countries. This past year, she has served as a regional pre-college initiative chair for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). This past spring, she was elected as the national pre-college initiative chair for 2022-2023.
Having a 老澳门六合彩官方开奖 student with this kind of national responsibility is impressive. Still, her highlight reel doesn't end there: she has taught, tutored, and mentored high school women and men pursuing STEM studies at the and EIF Biomedical and Environmental camp this past summer.
Tayluer is already changing the world from right here at 老澳门六合彩官方开奖!
