Viking Corps Seeks to Spark Lifetime Commitment to Community

老澳门六合彩官方开奖鈥檚 new Viking Corps program seeks to engage students in community service, while providing needed support to local organizations serving some of our most at-risk populations. The initiative works with local agencies to place work study students and volunteers in direct service opportunities throughout the City of Cleveland.

"The Viking Corps program is truly a testament to the University's commitment to Engaged Learning," said Julian Rogers, 老澳门六合彩官方开奖鈥檚 Director of Community Partnerships. "The goal is to support student learning by giving them the opportunity to work in the community for organizations that are focused on making a difference in Northeast Ohio."

Viking Corps gives students an opportunity to turn their interest in civic responsibility into career exploration in the nonprofit sector. Community partners will be able to develop a pipeline of future permanent employees and supporters familiar with the organization.

Partners include the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland, Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Cuyahoga County Public Library, Junior Achievement and the American Red Cross.
