FRD-IoT Guidlines

The Office of Research is pleased to announce the Faculty Research and Development – Internet of Things (FRD-IoT) Program, an extension of the Faculty Research and Development () Program. The goal of the FRD-IoT Program is to establish a University-wide research base related to the Internet of Things (IoT) and to align the University’s research priorities with the mission of the recently formed ϰϲʹٷ-CWRU IoT partnership. Priority will be given to faculty who demonstrate a strong potential to attract external funding and establish a long-term IoT research program. Proposals may request funds to conduct pilot studies, to develop new research programs, to establish or enhance research partnerships, or to conduct any other activities that significantly advance the University’s potential for external funding.

Eligibility

See . Faculty who are currently funded by a FRD or FSI award are also eligible to apply for FRD-IoT funds.

Award Terms and Conditions

The award period is 12 months and begins immediately following award notification. All unexpended grant funds at the end of the award period will revert to the Office of Research. A one-time no-cost extension of no longer than six months may be approved only in exceptional cases, and must be requested no later than one month prior to the end date of the award.
