WHAT IS FLAGS?
FLAGS is the 老澳门六合彩官方开奖 incarnation of an NSF ADVANCE Adaptation grant. The goal of the grant is to improve gender equity among STEM faculty (and, ultimately, all faculty) by adapting evidence-based practices from previous ADVANCE programs or other sources to 老澳门六合彩官方开奖. Our team consists of administrators, tenure-track faculty, and lecturers, representing multiple colleges and perspectives.

Michael Horvath is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Psychology. He serves as a principal investigator and will lead the FLAGS project. His training and research in Industrial-organizational psychology focuses on the application of psychological principles to workplace issues such as work-family balance, motivation, and job attitudes.
Dr. Lili Dong

Dr. Lili Dong is a professor in electrical engineering. She serves as a Co-PI on the FLAGS project. She has organized an Implicit Bias workshop and other professional development activities for the College of Engineering. She brings unique experience in workshop development and organization to the project. She is the faculty advisor for several student organizations, including Women in Engineering.
Dr. Joanne E. Goodell

Joanne Goodell is a Professor of mathematics education in the Department of Teacher Education. She serves as a co-PI for the FLAGS project. She is also the Director of the Center for Faculty Excellence, which provides professional development for all 老澳门六合彩官方开奖 faculty in teaching, curriculum alignment, and career development. Her research focuses on teacher professional development and equity issues across the K-20 continuum.
Mr. Toufik Aidja

Toufik Aidja is a college lecturer in the Department of Engineering Technology. He serves as a member of the internal steering committee for the FLAGS project. He has vast experience in the industry and served as a chair of the Engineering college鈥檚 Deans Diversity Council.
Dr. Russell Olwell

Middlesex Community College
Dr. Russell Olwell is a professor and Dean of Education and K-16 Partnerships at Middlesex Community College. He serves as an external evaluator on the FLAGS project. He has served as an evaluator on numerous other federal grants, including a US Department of Education Strengthening Institutions Program at Eastern Michigan University and NSF-ADVANCE project IDEAL-N at Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Cheryl Bracken

While at 老澳门六合彩官方开奖, Dr. Cheryl Campanella Bracken served as the Vice Provost of Faculty Affairs and a Professor of Communication. Dr. Bracken served as a Co-PI on the FLAGS project. She has represented 老澳门六合彩官方开奖 in the NSF funded IDEAL-N and APLU ASPIRE/IChange projects. Dr. Bracken brings extensive academic leadership experience to the project and as Vice Provost was uniquely positioned to disseminate information and encourage participation by the Deans and Associate Deans.
